LOVE YOURSELF (PART 3)

SELF CARE

Self care is a routine you do to improve your emotional, physical and mental well being. To truly love yourself you need to take care of your body and mind. Have enough sleep and take time to nap. Take time away from digital world, from your phone and have a you time. Have a good 7-8 hours sleep so you’re well rested for each day and full of energy.

Self care also include eating healthy meals that’s nutritious for the body. Try Meditation and there is so many apps these days that has medication and yoga even on YouTube. Self care is all about doing things you really like and enjoy. It could be booking a spa day in the pool, steam room, sauna, jacuzzi and deep massage. Have a day to yourself if you must and disconnect yourself from the outside world to listen to music, watch a series, read a book or two and pick up a new routine or hobby.

Physical self care has to be the most popular this improves our physical body by exercising regular to get fit and healthy. Dieting is also a part of physical self care, eating the right portion of food with fruits and veggies. It can also be taking fun physical activities like running, hiking, jogging or exciting sports depending on your preference.

Emotional self care is more personal, this is about caring for your emotions by meditating, seeking counsel, spending time with loved ones, asking for help when needed, be positive with your self and reflecting on yourself. Listen to your emotions and deal with them not just bury it this will put a strain on you.

In my last post, I talked about about forgiving yourself for your past mistakes or guilt you may be holding unto. Accepting who you are is essential when you’re on the journey of self love. Stop seeking acceptance from people you don’t know and love yourself the way you are because guess what you are beautiful, you are strong, you are wise, you are courageous.

A ten million likes won’t make you feel any better but knowing your strength, weakness, what you are capable of, your self worth and still feel good about yourself despite all your shortcoming and bad choices from your past then you will have truly come to terms of accepting your self.

To truly love yourself you need to accept your true self, embrace your uniqueness, be kind to yourself , love your body, mind and soul. Stay positive all time despite all the negative energy vibes that surrounds you daily. Accept that your imperfection because no one is perfect. Trust and believe in your self if you don’t how will others believe in you? confront your fear and never give up no matter what.

Seeking for acceptance from others will only bring you down cause no one will ever or can truly love you like you will love yourself. People will always try to bring you down either because you’re better than them or because they just want you to be as miserable as they are please don’t give them the chance to. Distance yourself away from people that bring you down and surround yourself with people who believe and encourages you to be better.

My First Blog Post

LOVE yOURSELF

Just on Instagram only, there are about 46.5k post that has the hashtag love yourself #loveyourself. Does loving yourself really just meaning using this hashtag i can bet more than half of this people do not truly love themselves. It is easy to use this hashtag like any other you can think of but how do you really love your self.

Forgiveness- You may think how do i forgive myself? i never offended myself so why should i have to forgive myself. We all need to learn to make peace with ourselves to really experience true happiness. True happiness comes from within not from what will own. You can be a billionaire but if your mind is filled with guilt you cant truly enjoy the money you have and whats the joy in that.

So how can you forgive yourself? let yourself go of any guilt and let the past be in the past. Holding on to the guilt of your past will not change the future but only hold you down forgive yourself for your past mistake and allow it to grow you and not destroy you. Learn from your mistake and change your actions in the future.

Forgive others and free your mind, holding on to grudges makes you unhappy than it makes the person who offended. Learn to forgive others not just for them but for yourself to free your mind of hatred even the bible tells us in Luke 6:37 “Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven.” I now it’s easier said than done but not forgiving someone that has offended you gives them power over you as they will be in your thoughts and can be exhausting even if you don’t want to admit to yourself.
